Due to some technical glitches, my website has been suspended for about a month. And finally, it’s re-live, albeit with a new domain: www.colinzheng.com

I took this as an opportunity to renovate the house a bit, by upgrading wordpress, integrating with facebook, and updating my current life status. While diversity is good, it actually makes life a bit harder to integrate everything together: facebook, live messenger, twitter… Maybe linkedin as well? Man, i’m close to overload!

2001, HTML 2003, CSS, JS 2008, LAMP

The very left image is a snapshot of my first homepage, built in 2001, right after I got to U.W. Even as of today, I am still proud of the color and layout design I had on this version. Simple yet elegant (at least to me)! In those days, I used HTML and vim to code up the entire site. Don’t ask me how many embedded tables I had to use in order to align things!

The middle image shows the version I built after a SIGGRAPH submission nightmare in 2003. And thanks for TAing CSE100, I got a chance to play with css, js for the first time. It looked more like a video game website than a graduate student homepage. But still, it was the first time I intensively used stylesheets (css), and I really enjoyed it!

Here comes the new one on the right! As I am wrapping up for graduation, a brand new look would hopefully get me some good luck on the job hunting. I am ready for a new start, and WEB 2.0! Not surprisingly, this time, again, I embraced the new technology WordPress. Essentially. this is LAMP. It looks cool and I can blog on my homepage! 🙂

I can’t predict what will happen next, but there is ONE thing I am very certain about: this will not be my last homepage. Let’s keep evolving!
